PHILOSOPHY

David Haas As a photographer, I am a permanent discoverer of the poetic potential of each new motif.
I cling to the basic recognition that the awareness of the quality of light and the subtle differences in light, as well as one's own aesthetic standards constitute the very core of photography. In working with people I try to create an athmosphere that gives the magic of the moment plenty of space to unfold.
A good picture should be impressive and catchy in a positive sense, not merely exploiting the unusual but actively creating its own vision. Each picture has a content and the more content it has the more it can start a life of its own, evolving from a mere snap-shot of the real to a mental representation in the form of an image. Pictures originate in life and return to life again in the form of a renewed vision.
